The 52-Day Journey is a goal-setting challenge with an initial financial deposit. Each day, if you follow your journey as set at the beginning, you'll have an opportunity to earn your financial deposit back.
If money is a motivational factor, you'll be inspired! Your deposit will be your accountability partner! If it isn't a motivational factor, then consider your deposit as a payment towards a human accountability partner—my accountability services! (Although, you'll still have the opportunity to earn your money back too!)
1) You pay a $104 deposit.
2) You set one long-term goal.
3) You set several short-term goals that will bring you to achieve your long-term goal.
4) Each day, when you accomplish every short-term goal, plus those set by Cathe*, you will earn back $2. If you do not fulfill ALL of each day's goals, you will not earn any money back for that day. Each day you have the opportunity to earn back $2 or $0. This is an all-or-nothing deal.
5) At the end of the 52 days, you'll have accomplished your long-term goal, or well on your way to doing so, as you've been working hard on so many short term goals! Plus, you will have earned your money back, or not. No matter what, you are investing in YOURSELF with your time, effort and resources!
*Cathe's Daily Goal Requirements:
For accountability's sake, you will journal every single day. It doesn't matter what you write in your journal, but it is the documentation used to track each day's short term goals, etc. You will be required to take a photo/video/etc., to show Cathe at the end of each day, every day. This is part of the all-or-nothing deal!
In your journal, you will number each page, counting down from 52. As you progress in your journey, you will find motivation in seeing the days counting down towards the last day. The time will fly by quickly this way! And you'll keep your focus on your long-term goal as you keep a journal.
If you decide that you would like to increase your deposit, the daily earning back may also be adjusted. The deal will be set before the journey begins.
The 52-Day Journey was inspired by the Bible's Book of Nehemiah, chapter 6, verses 15-16.
After unsuccessful attempts to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem for more than 150 years, enter the governor Nehemiah and priest/scribe/prophet Ezra.
With their dedication and faith in God, it only took 52 days to rebuild the walls and fortify the city once again, in spite of bitter opposition and obstacles!
After accomplishing this mighty goal, the people repented and committed themselves to reading and studying God's Word daily. Their transformation brought about a great revival in the land—a GenRev!

The Detox-Fast is a 26-day elimination program with an initial minimal cost.
During the duration of the program, there will be a daily instructional or educational post added to the blog below: Detox-Fast: Daily Posts. At the beginning of each month, the posts will reset and repeat, with the occasional update.
I've been following Robyn Openshaw/Green Smoothie Girl (GSG) for at least a decade. In January 2019, I finally decided to do her 26-Day Detox Program, focusing on all of the organs of elimination (the largest being your skin, by the way!) This Detox changed my life! That particular year was when I got rid of 99% of the conventional products that I've used for many years on my skin and body, in my home, and even for my cats, and when I transitioned to using essential oils and organic products for the most part. I learned a lot of really tasty (and super simple) recipes and practical tips for a holistic lifestyle.
I participate in the annual Detox that she leads, as well as coach monthly detoxes via the blog above. I think this particular Program, created from decades of Robyn's research, is excellent because it is a very practical way to detoxify the physical body, mainly using food. The food eaten on this Detox is all from the produce section of the grocery store.
There are also advanced protocols, which are explained in the Manual. Plus, I will teach about them via the blog over the duration of the Detox. One post per day. Every day of the Detox. For 26 days!

Once you've done your first Detox, you may choose to buy more supplies, but initially, the only investment is the GSG Detox Manual and food from the grocery store (and a blender.) No supplements needed!
You will not understand, nor be aware of, any or all detox protocols unless you read through the Manual from cover to cover! And, as I mentioned before, I will teach about them via the blog, one day at a time during the Detox.
First of all, you will be overwhelmed enough with the radical nutrition shifts, so this may be all you desire to change your first round through. Personally, when I did my first Detox, I was ALL IN. I did everything 100%. At the end of it, I wish I'd had more explanations of the protocols (they were all new to me at the time) so I could've done them better. But, then again, I'm thankful for receiving the details little bits at a time. Otherwise, I may have had mental overload. The physical, emotional, and mental reactions that come from detoxing the organs of elimination is plenty to handle. It is not necessary to do any other protocols to have a successful Detox and bodily experience!

My Big Salad (pictured above) was inspired by Chris Wark's Square One Program, and it's an example of a meal to enjoy while on the detox-fast! It is delicious and very satisfying!
I made this for my lunch one day...in a 4-quart glass bowl! It IS a BIG salad! And I sure did need to keep my dōTERRA peppermint beadlets handy after eating this! (Raw garlic and onions taste so yummy, but, oh boy, do they ever give you stinky breath!)
I had never heard of broccoli sprouts before I started following Chris Wark/ChrisBeatCancer. Broccoli sprouts are extremely potent and contain sulphoraphane, so only 1/2 cup per day is plenty. They are an anti-inflammatory and cancer-fighting super food that taste delicious! It's hard to not eat more than 1/2 cup, but too much can cause adverse reactions. I've tried growing my own sprouts, but it didn't work for me, so I have to buy them already sprouted! Growing your own is much more convenient...and economical! If you're a numbers person and you count macronutrients (I am not and I do not), 1 cup of raw broccoli contains nearly 3 grams of protein, not to mention the tons of micronutrients they contain!
